Hello/Salut
Welcome to my website. I'm Cristian, a Romanian-American museum professional based in New York City. Blending theater creativity with a multidisciplinary scholarly approach, including memory and aesthetic studies, I craft meaningful content, displays, and experiences that educate and excite.
For nearly a decade, I was part of the curatorial team of The New York Historical. I've had the privilege of working with some of the best in the business, developing, curating, and coordinating a wide range of exhibitions. Along the way, I've explored every corner of this incredible city and listened to the stories of hundreds of New Yorkers, many immigrants just like me. I researched diverse subjects, met amazing artists and curious collectors, took deep dives in archives, and discovered objects and artworks that are now in the New York Historical's collection.
Curator's Vision is my way of stepping out independently as a curator, content developer, researcher, and consultant. It's a showcase for my past and present work and a platform for exciting new projects. It is also a new avenue for networking and collaboration between Eastern European and American professionals in the cultural space. With the experience gained in New York's first museum, I look forward to supporting emerging immigrant artists, museum practitioners, educators, and storytellers.
Even if you stumbled here by chance, I'm happy to connect! Looking for a talented art director, conservator, or rights specialist? I likely know just the person.
Enjoy exploring the site, and feel free to get in touch!
